SQUADS B.V. (hereinafter referred to as: SQUADS) is the online marketplace for on-demand teams. Since 2013, we’ve been connecting great teams to many intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs that are looking to build or scale innovative digital products.

We offer Squads of vetted software developers, experienced designers and growth hacking specialists that work as a seamless extension of your company. Squads has produced this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to respecting your privacy and personal data. The policy below outlines the data we may collect, the grounds thereof and how we may use it.

Who are We?

SQUADS is a company, formed in 2013, with its focus and expertise to bringing together
software developers, designers and growth hacking specialists in order to work for our
Customers. SQUADS’s head office is located at Weteringschans 165C, 1017 XD,
Amsterdam, The Netherlands and registered at the Chamber of Commerce under number KvK: 64985636.

Applicability of this Privacy Statement

This privacy Statement is applicable for:

  • our clients and for all the persons we have been in contact with;

  • visitors to our website;

  • all of those who have received our newsletter other mailings;

  • all the persons whose personal data we process.

Which personal data do we process how do we get your personal Data and for which purposes

We process the following Personal Data:

  • basic information like your first and family name, title, gender, company details and/or your role in the organisation;

  • contact details like mail address, (mobile) phone number, e-mail address;

  • additional information like ID-Number, date of birth, nationality and marital state;

  • financial information;

  • technical information, like your IP-address, details about the device you use for visiting our website and the web pages your visit;

  • all other information we receive or we can collect for the purposes as described

How do we collect your Personal Data?

In most cases we receive your Personal Data by yourself, by sending a request for
information or for services, by visiting our website, processing a form on our website, sending us your job application, your business card, during telephone calls of e-mail contact. Reasons for processing your Personal Data In all our relations Personal Data is necessary to provide you with the best services and cooperation. We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • to act accordingly to and to perform accordingly to an agreement

  • project management and billing

  • processing of specific data necessary for the preparation, execution and finalisation of the specific assignment, order, and/or development project.

  • marketing and business purposes

  • the use and improvement of our website

  • client surveys

  • job applications and recruitment

The legal grounds of processing Personal Data

We are only allowed to process your Personal Data when there is a legal ground. The above mentioned processes are based on the following grounds:

  • legitimate interest

  • according to a legal obligation

  • with your permission

  • performance of a contract

This information will be retained for three years after your last communication with us. This information is processed under the basis of Article 6(1)(f) – legitimate interest, of the EU general data protection regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) or in Dutch: Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG). This regulation provides you with rights to request access to the information we hold about you, to request rectification of the information we hold about you, to erase the data we hold about you, to object to the processing of your information, and to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Privacy Authority (in Dutch: Authoriteit Persoonsgegevens or: AP).

Sharing data with third parties

It may be necessary to share your Personal Data with third parties. This may occur in the following situations:

We use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone.

We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

We use data storage services provided by and email services provided by Mandrill. The data is physically held within the European Union and is not transferred outside the European Union. Data will not be used for the purpose of automated decision making.

We us external parties who are assisting us with certain services like developers, software programmers or engineers, hosting partners and those who process data for salary or social security reasons.

Who has access to your data?

SQUADS will not give or sell your personal data to any outside organisation for that
organisation’s own use without your consent. We may team up with the aforementioned
developers and specialists to enable us to provide the required services to you during which we will use this data, but you will be expressly asked to opt-in to this new processing beforehand.

SQUADS may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to a) conform with the law, or; b) protect and defend the rights or (IP) property of SQUADS, the site or the users of SQUADS’ sites.

How long your information is kept

We will retain your personal data until you have not communicated with us for 3 (three)
years. In job application procedures we will keep your data until 4 (four) weeks after the
finalisation of the specific procedure. In case we desire to keep your data for future job
applications we ask for your permission and will not retain your information longer than 1
(one) year. We securely delete personal information as soon as requested by the customer.

Updating or changing Information we collect

The accuracy of your information is important to us. To review or to correct/edit the
information in our database, please contact us

Our use of cookies

SQUADS uses cookies to ensure that we give you the best experience on our website. We
can also use these cookies to record how often you visit the site and the areas you visit
within it. Although they can identify a user’s computer, cookies themselves do not personally identify users. You can set your browser to refuse cookies if you wish to. If you continue without changing your settings, we’ll assume that you are happy to receive all the cookies on the SQUADS website.


We have taken all the appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to prevent abuse, not allowed access, unwanted publication and unadmitted changes of your Personal Data.

You are entitled to view, to amend and/or to order us to delete the personal information/data that we retain. You have therefore the following rights:
